My grandmother grew up in this tiny village in Barbados, and she was the only kid in the village to have a cricket bat. She used to play with all the boys, but then they started stealing the bat every time she bought it out of the house and saying that she couldn’t play because girls shouldn’t play sport. So one day she invited them to come play cricket, then set fire to the bat and made them watch it burn, so none of them could play cricket anymore. She was 11.

It seems like Prince Harry has been taking tips from his style-savvy sister-in-law and has decided to pick up a few designer bargains.
The 28-year-old was spotted shopping for half an hour in the TK Maxx branch in Kensington High Street, Central London, last week, spending £160 on a T-shirt, hoody and an iPhone case.
Not exactly cheap, but thanks to TK Maxx offering 60% discounts, it was a fraction of the price he would have paid elsewhere.
The Duchess of Cambridge is also a fan of the fashion chain and has been spotted browsing in thesame store on several occasions.
Any regular TK Maxx shopper will tell you the stores can be seriously addictive.
There is the thrill of picking up a designer bargain.
And with fresh stock being dropped into store every day,there is always something different to tempt you.
The stores currently have a range of Polo Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger and Calvin Klein on offer, all the posh boy favourites.
So it is not exactly surprising that Harry found goodies to tempt him.
Kate, 31, expecting the royal baby in July, is also a fan of the Bicester Village designer outlet in Oxfordshire – so perhaps that is where the prince will pop up on his next shopping expedition.
It is great to see the royals embracing a careful approach to shopping.
We all know they could afford to shop anywhere but the fact they love a bargain shows they are not so different from us.
One really is very impressed indeed.

In my very honest, let’snotstartawaroverthisubject, and humble opinion..
I think people, who aren’t MMs, think that the Midds are being too involved in the life of future Princess or Prince (I just really hope for girl) is because we aren’t used to seeing what Kate has done, which is keeping her family involved as much as possible ( i mean it isn’t like she was supposed to get married to William and then just plop! forget she ever had a family) We didn’t see it with Diana (At least not that I know of) or Sarah or Sophie or any of the ladies that have maried into royal families. I don’t even think that even other royals families have done that. I am not saying that she should follow it but it is okay if she wants her family involved. It seems normal to me. Now, I don’t want mean anon asks on my inbox because I barely get mail and when I do most of it is just the tumblr diet of crap and like 2 messages are good. And I have said this before, I am in no way a minimiddleton nor am I a big fan of the Midds but I mean, I am just trying to see a different perspective here because well…. I would like my family involved if I had a child. Specially my mother.
I don’t think that it will get to a point where the Winsors won’t have a say over this baby, because who ever she or he is they will be Queen or King no matter how much the Middletons are involved with the baby. I mean give the baby a chance to be born and grown up and learn how to formulate her or his opinions. We don’t know wha will happen in another 20 years and how this baby will be! and what are we going to do when Baby Cambridge grows up? I mean if he is a bad person we will blame it on the Midds and if he or she does it right we will say “she gets it from the Winsors” I mean we are getting to point when we think that whatever we think will changed what Kate and Wills will do with their lives. I mean they probably don’t know we exist, much less care about our opinion. So let’s just breathe and not make a HUGE deal out of every step they make.
